Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Engineer / Enterprise Architect with 12+ years of experience, including 7+ years as a Salesforce Technical Architect. This is a senior enterprise architecture role requiring deep Salesforce expertise along with the ability to design, govern, and evolve the broader SaaS technology landscape.
The role will involve ownership of the GTM technology ecosystem, covering CRM, commerce, marketing automation, integrations, data platforms, identity, security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and AI. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership on platform scalability, resilience, security, and long-term architecture while collaborating with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and govern enterprise architecture across Salesforce, applications, integrations, data, security, and infrastructure.
- Design scalable, resilient, and highly available Salesforce and SaaS platform architectures.
- Lead architecture decisions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
- Design and govern enterprise integrations using Boomi, MuleSoft, or comparable iPaaS platforms.
- Define API management, event-driven architecture, Change Data Capture, and streaming integration strategies.
- Establish DevOps, CI/CD, and release management practices across Salesforce and enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Drive architecture governance, establish standards, conduct Architecture Review Boards (ARBs), and influence technical direction across teams.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align architectural decisions with business outcomes.
- Leverage AI tools, GenAI models, automation platforms, and AI-assisted development as part of the architecture practice.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture, including 7+ years as a Salesforce Technical Architect.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Apex, LWC, Flow, OmniStudio, Platform Events, Data Cloud, and Salesforce security and sharing models.
- Proven experience across multiple Salesforce Clouds, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
- Strong experience with enterprise integrations using Boomi, MuleSoft, or comparable iPaaS platforms.
- Expertise in API management, event-driven architecture, Change Data Capture, and streaming integration patterns.
- Experience designing high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery architectures for SaaS ecosystems.
- Good understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP and their role in SaaS resilience, scalability, and security.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, along with lakehouse, data mesh, and data fabric architectures.
- Strong architecture governance, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or actively pursuing CTA.
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect certification.
- Salesforce Cloud certifications in Sales, Service, Commerce, Marketing, Data Cloud, or Integration Architecture.
- Boomi Architect, MuleSoft Integration Architect, or equivalent iPaaS certification.
- Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience in ed-tech, professional licensing, e-commerce, or high-volume/regulated SaaS environments.
- Experience with Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein AI, or comparable AI platform capabilities.
