Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Engineer / Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in Salesforce architecture and enterprise SaaS platforms. This is not a purely Salesforce-focused role; the ideal candidate will have the ability to design, govern, and evolve the broader Go-to-Market (GTM) technology ecosystem, including CRM, commerce, marketing automation, integrations, data platforms, identity and access management, security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and AI.
The candidate will serve as a key technical authority, driving platform scalability, resilience, security, and long-term architectural strategy while ensuring that technology decisions align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the enterprise architecture for the end-to-end GTM technology ecosystem, including Salesforce, CRM, commerce, marketing automation, integrations, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, and AI.
- Design scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient Salesforce and SaaS platform architectures aligned with long-term business requirements.
- Provide architectural leadership across application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
- Define enterprise integration strategies using Boomi, MuleSoft, or comparable iPaaS platforms, including API management, event-driven architecture, Change Data Capture (CDC), and streaming integrations.
- Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, technical roadmaps, and Architecture Review Board (ARB) processes.
- Define and govern DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and deployment practices across Salesforce and enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and executive leadership to align architecture decisions with business outcomes.
- Drive the adoption of AI-enabled development, automation, and enterprise AI capabilities across the technology ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Software Architecture, including at least 7 years as a Salesforce Technical Architect.
- Proven experience as a full-scope Enterprise Architect, with ownership across application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure architecture.
- Deep hands-on expertise in: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, OmniStudio, Platform Events, Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Security and Sharing Model
- Strong experience across multiple Salesforce Clouds: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud
- Hands-on experience designing and governing enterprise integrations using Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of API Management, Event-Driven Architecture, Change Data Capture (CDC), and Streaming Integration Patterns.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available, and disaster-resilient SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment governance.
- Familiarity with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, along with Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric architectures.
- Proven experience leading architecture governance, establishing enterprise standards, conducting ARB reviews, and influencing technical direction across teams.
- Active experience using AI coding assistants, Generative AI tools, and automation platforms within architecture and engineering practices.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification or actively pursuing CTA.
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect certification.
- Salesforce Cloud certifications in:
- Sales Cloud
- Service Cloud
- Commerce Cloud
- Marketing Cloud
- Data Cloud
- Integration Architecture
- Boomi Architect, MuleSoft Integration Architect, or equivalent iPaaS certification.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent.
- Experience in EdTech, Professional Licensing, E-commerce, or High-Volume Regulated SaaS Environments.
- Experience implementing Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein AI, or similar enterprise AI capabilities.
