Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Specialist with expertise in Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud, platform administration, data governance, SQL, and data integration. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience with database connectivity, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and workflow automation.
Candidates with experience in Collibra or other data governance platforms will be considered, provided they have strong relevant technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support data governance platforms, troubleshoot metadata ingestion failures, and resolve connector-related issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot database connectivity using JDBC and ODBC.
- Work with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Amazon Redshift databases.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot approval workflows and issue management processes.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, platform operations, and issue resolution.
- Implement data quality rules, perform data profiling, and maintain monitoring dashboards.
- Support data governance initiatives using Collibra or other governance platforms.
- Manage metadata harvesting, ingestion, and technical and business metadata.
- Maintain end-to-end data lineage, source-to-target mapping, and impact analysis.
- Develop integrations using REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
- Support data governance and integration operations across AWS environments.
- Manage access controls, permissions, and data privacy requirements.
- Support version control, configuration management, and deployments using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of relevant experience in data governance, platform administration, data integration, or related technologies.
- Experience in platform administration, technical support, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of metadata ingestion and connector troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with JDBC, ODBC, and database connectivity.
- Experience with one or more databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Amazon Redshift.
- Strong SQL programming and query troubleshooting skills.
- Experience configuring and maintaining approval and issue management workflows.
Strongly Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of data quality concepts, profiling, monitoring, and data quality dashboards.
- Experience with Collibra Data Quality (UDQ).
- Experience implementing data quality rules and processes.
Good-to-Have Skills
1. Data Governance & Collibra
- Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud or other data governance platforms.
- Knowledge of Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, and Data Quality.
- Experience managing asset types, domains, communities, responsibilities, operating models, and workflows.
- Familiarity with Policy Manager, Marketplace, Dashboards, and Data Helpdesk.
2. Metadata & Data Lineage
- Metadata harvesting, ingestion, and management.
- Business and technical lineage, source-to-target mapping, and impact analysis.
3. Integration & Cloud Technologies
- REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
- AWS services, including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, and AWS IAM.

- Python and Groovy.

- Identity and access management.
