Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications while providing technical leadership to the development team. This role requires strong backend development expertise, along with exposure to frontend technologies, DevOps practices, solution design, and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
- Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using React.
- Develop server-side applications and APIs using Node.js where required.
- Design, develop, and optimize Oracle SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and developers to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Support application deployment and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide production support as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of software development experience.
- Experience leading development teams and providing technical guidance.
- Strong experience in solution design and application architecture.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Node.js
- React
- Oracle Database / SQL
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including source code management, build pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Design Patterns
- RESTful API Development
- Microservices Architecture
- Good knowledge of SQL query optimization and database design.
- Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale applications.
- Knowledge of application security and performance optimization.
- Exposure to cloud-based application development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
