Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced ETL / Data Integration Consultant with strong expertise in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle), SQL, and enterprise data integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL solutions, ensuring seamless data movement across systems, and optimizing data processing performance. This role requires strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills to deliver reliable and scalable data integration solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle)
- Expertise in SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience working with large datasets and complex ETL processes
- Knowledge of APIs, web services, and data formats such as CSV, XML, and JSON
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Good understanding of data quality, validation, and governance principles
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL and data integration solutions using Pentaho PDI (Kettle)
- Build and manage data pipelines integrating databases, files, APIs, and web services
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data integration processes
- Optimize SQL queries and ETL workflows to improve performance and scalability
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and data flows
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Monitor and support data integration jobs to ensure smooth operations
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with PHP Laravel development or support
- Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databases
- Experience with Linux, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, Java, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of scheduling and monitoring tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 6+ years of overall experience, including at least 4+ years in ETL/Data Integration
- Experience working on enterprise-scale data integration and migration projects
- Strong understanding of ETL architecture, data warehousing, and data management concepts
