Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, PySpark, SQL, and Azure Data Lake. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data integration solutions on the Azure platform. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience working with large-scale data environments.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics
- Proficiency in PySpark for large-scale data processing
- Strong SQL development and query optimization skills
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline development and maintenance
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Experience with data integration and transformation processes
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and data integration solutions
- Develop and maintain data processing solutions using PySpark
- Work with Azure Synapse Analytics to support analytics and reporting requirements
- Manage and optimize data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across data platforms
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data solutions and processes
- Support deployment, testing, and production activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 7–10 years of overall IT experience
- Strong experience in Azure Data Engineering and cloud-based data solutions
- Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics environments
- Good understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and integration concepts
