Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in dbt, SQL, and modern cloud data platforms to build scalable analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing data transformation pipelines, developing dimensional data models, and enabling high-quality analytics and reporting capabilities. This role requires strong technical expertise in analytics engineering, data warehousing, and cloud-based data platforms, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
  • Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills
  • Expertise in dimensional data modeling
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Amazon Redshift
  • Proficiency in Python and Jinja Templating
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytics engineering
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience implementing data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using SQL, dbt, and Jinja
  • Build and optimize dimensional data models for analytics and business intelligence reporting
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and validate business requirements
  • Develop and maintain dbt models, macros, tests, packages, and documentation
  • Implement data quality, governance, validation, and testing frameworks
  • Optimize analytical workloads and large-scale datasets for performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with Product, Analytics, BI, and Engineering teams to deliver trusted data solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and accuracy
  • Support continuous improvement of analytics engineering standards and best practices
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data models and analytics solutions

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Digital Marketing, or Consumer Analytics domains
  • Exposure to BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Experience with Audience Analytics, Campaign Measurement, and Product Analytics
  • Knowledge of clickstream, behavioral, and event-based datasets
  • Familiarity with modern data stack architectures and cloud analytics ecosystems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehousing
  • Strong experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms and large-scale datasets
  • Proven experience building scalable and maintainable analytics solutions
