Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Vantage Developer with strong expertise in DXC Insurance Platform (IP) products, including Vantage, wmA, DSS, and PPLUS. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with mainframe technologies, Micro Focus, and insurance policy administration systems. This role involves solution design, application development, and providing business and technical guidance for Life and Annuity insurance platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on DXC IP products, including Vantage, wmA, DSS, and PPLUS
- Develop new enhancements and support medium to large-scale development projects independently
- Analyze business requirements and provide optimal technical solutions
- Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and provide functional and technical guidance
- Perform application development, maintenance, and production support activities
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, and implementation
- Troubleshoot application issues and ensure timely resolution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of overall and relevant experience in Mainframe technologies
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Mainframe development
- Micro Focus
- DXC IP products (Vantage, wmA, DSS, PPLUS)
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Vantage and/or wmA
- Candidate must be currently working on, or have recent experience with, DXC IP products (Vantage, wmA, DSS, or PPLUS)
- Strong understanding of the architecture and functionality of DXC Insurance Platform products
- Experience with US Life Insurance and Annuity Policy Administration platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently design solutions and develop enhancements on the wmA platform
- Experience handling medium to large-scale enhancement and implementation projects

- Experience in the US Insurance domain (Life & Annuity)
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to provide business and technical consultation
