Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Application Security Consultant with deep expertise in SAP security across ABAP, Java, HANA, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, and SAP BTP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing security best practices, supporting security hardening initiatives, reviewing security configurations, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP Application Security documentation, technical activities, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
- Establish structured reporting for security-related topics through dashboards and regular status updates
- Develop and distribute ECS security hardening standards and guidance documentation
- Review proposed security configurations and validate required changes with relevant stakeholders
- Track ECS-provided security updates and coordinate the rollout of applicable security enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with SAP security best practices
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Application Security, including:
- SAP ABAP Security
- SAP Java Security
- SAP HANA Security
- SAP Web Dispatcher Security
- SAP Cloud Connector Security
- Authorizations, authentication, user management, security parameters, and security hardening
- Strong technical expertise in SAP BTP Security (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and the shared responsibility model across hyperscalers, operating systems, and SAP HANA databases
- Experience implementing SAP security hardening standards and security governance practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills
- Proven experience delivering presentations and interacting with business and technical stakeholders
